2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the subject land is not fit and suitable for shelter and house site and to live. Hence the petitioners have made representations before the respondents to allot proper house sites to them. Since there is no response from the respondents, the petitioners have filed the present writ petitions.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs respondents to issue notice to the petitioners, rival claimants/interested parties/objectors/aggrieved parties as the case may be, and after issuing notice to all the parties, conduct enquiry in the manner known to law and pass orders in accordance with law. In case, after conducting enquiry, if the respondents come to the conclusion that the petitioners are otherwise eligible/entitled to get patta, the respondents shall issue patta to the petitioners. The abovesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
