..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of mandamus, directing the respondents herein to refer the demand made by the petitioner in his representation dated 07.02.2008, seeking enhancement of compensation for the acquisition of his land under the Award No.2/2008, dated 25.01.2008 under Sec. 18 of the LA Act, for proper adjudication by a competent court of law. ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to refer the demand made by him in his representation dated 07.02.2008, seeking enhancement of compensation for the acquisition of his land under the Award No.2/2008, dated 25.01.2008 under Sec. 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, for proper adjudication by the Authority.

2. Mr.R.Venkatachalapathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 07.02.2008, the respondents have not considered the same yet.

3. Ms.D.Reena Iswarya, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondicherry) takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the third respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2008, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2008 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
