PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to pass appropriate orders, granting permission to the petitioner herein, to allow "Eruthattam" () function being conducted in Sree Pudur Pon Mariamman Temple at Palacode by 12 villagers on 09.03.2023 by considering the representation dated 23.02.2023 of the petitioner in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent herein to pass appropriate orders, granting permission to the petitioner herein, to allow "Eruthattam" () function being conducted in Sree Pudur Pon Mariamman Temple at Palacode by 12 villagers on 09.03.2023 by considering the representation dated 23.02.2023 of the petitioner in accordance with law.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the Collector is the authority to pass orders on the representation of petitioner dated 23.02.2023. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent/District Collector to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.02.2023 in the manner known to law immediately.
3.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
