ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to convene peace committee meeting between the Mokkali Kulam of Gounder @ Vettuva Gounder Community and Kannantha Kulam and Manian Kulam of Kongu Vellalar Community worshippers of Arulmighu Navaladi Karuppanna Swamy and Kaliamman Temple, Mohanur Village, Namakkal Taluk, Namakkal District for ensuring peaceful celebration of the Kumbabishekam function scheduled to be held on 17.06.2018 by
receiving contributions and poll tax and allowing peaceful worship of members of all the group.
2.According to the petitioner, since the fourth respondent has been trying to conduct the said Kumbabishekam festival by excluding the members of the petitioner community and refusing to receive poll tax and contribution for the kumbabishekam, the petitioner has given a representation to respondents 1 to 3 requesting them to convene Peace Committee Meeting. Finding no response, he is before this Court seeking the above said prayer.
3.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 would submit that a direction may be issued to the first respondent to consider the case of the petitioner.
4.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court directs the first respondent to issue direction to either the Sub Collector/Revenue Divisional Officer, the second respondent herein or the Tahsildar, the third respondent herein to hold the Peace Committee Meeting after issuing notice to the fourth respondent and other interested persons and to take a final decision to celebrate the Kumbabishekam to be held on 17.06.2018 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P. is closed.
