O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying for a direction to the to the 1st respondent police to transfer the investigation in Crime No.982/2013 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police to the Inspector of Police, CBCID Vellore, Vellore District or any other police station.

2. Heard Mr.E.Kannadasan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that this case is of the year 2013 and no progress in the investigation appears to have been made. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the jurisdictional District Superintendent of Police to monitor the investigation in Crime No.982 of 2013 and the Investigating Officer is directed to expeditiously conduct the investigation and take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Hon'ble https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
