Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide liquor for enable the petitioner to run the bar attached with shop bearing No.1516 situated at Rotti Kadai Maidhanam, Vilankurichi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2021.

In this writ petition the petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the respondents to provide liquor to enable him to run the shop bearing No.1516 situated at Rotti Kadai Maidhanam, Vilankurichi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, pursuant to his representation dated 15.03.2021.

On 19.03.2021, I have directed the 2nd respondent/District Manager to hear the petitioner and to pass orders on the representation. Today it is brought to my notice that the petitioner was heard on 19.04.2021 and orders passed on 23.04.2021 that are adverse to him. petitioner would object stating that the petitioner was never heard on 19.04.2021. However, Mr.Sathish Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, on instructions, would confirm the position that the petitioner has indeed appeared before the authority on 19.04.2021, when the enquiry was conducted.

3. The mandamus sought thus stands achieved and this writ petition is closed. However, liberty is always available to the petitioner to challenge order dated 23.04.2021, upon receipt of the same from R2, in accordance with law. No costs.
