3. The case of the petitioner is that in the auction conducted on 22.03.2018, the petitioner was declared as successful bidder for the bid amount of Rs.59,81,000/-. As per the tender condition petitioner deposited Rs.29,90,500/- on the next day. But without confirming the auction in favour of the petitioner the respondents have issued re-auction notification on 01.04.2018.
4. The Special Government Pleader based on the counter filed by the 1st respondent submitted that amount quoted by the petitioner was lesser than that the bid amount for the year 2017-2018. Hence the respondents has not confirmed the auction in favour of the petitioner and as per G.O.(Ms).No.277 Rural Development (C4) dated 22.11.2011, the 1st respondent issued notification for re-auction and in the re-auction held on 04.04.2018, it fetched highest amount of Rs.72,19,000/- and the auction was confirmed in favour of one Ponnusamy.
5. In the light of the above facts of this case, I am of the considered opinion that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
