Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 1st respondent pertaining to his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. ll:2/73549/2911, dated 24.01.2012 & quash the same and consequently direct the 1st respondent to renew the Police License of the petitioner to run the Auto Workshop in Nos.199 & 120, Nanjappan Nagar, Trichy Road, Singanallur, Coimbatore - 641 005.

ORDER
The learned counsel for the petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the rejection of the renewal application made by the petitioner seeking renewal of licence. The said licence was sought for by the petitioner to run an Auto centre and is normally granted for one year. The learned counsel for the petitioner has produced a letter dated 11.01.2020 addressed by the petitioner to the counsel on record stating that the writ petition may be withdrawn without prejudice to his right to apply for renewal of licence or seek fresh licence from the first respondent, viz., Commissioner of police, Coimbatore.
2. The aforesaid letter is taken on file.
3. The liberty sought for by the petitioner, as seen from his letter dated 11.01.2020 addressed to his Advocate will not prejudice the rights of the respondents. However, it is made clear that before considering any application for renewal of licence, the first respondent shall give notice to the third respondent, who is a landlord of the property and hear his objections if any, and only thereafter pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law with regard to the renewal application.
4. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
