ORDER

The learned Government Advocate would submit that the order, which is the subject matter of contempt, has been complied with vide proceedings of the Tahsildar, Ayanavaram, the respondent / contemnor herein dated 15.03.2017 in Proceedings No.A1/2030/2015. It is taken on file and recorded. It is the further submission of the learned Government Advocate that as per the said proceedings, for change in classification of lands from Anandeenam to Ryotwari, concerned authority is the District Collector and the Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Land Administration.

Per contra, Mr.M.Muthappan, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the said order has been passed without adverting to the relevant revenue records and without application of mind.

In the light of the stand taken in the above said proceedings, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Collector of Chennai District in the form of representation / appeal and as and when the appeal is received and if the papers are otherwise in order, the said official shall entertain the same and thereafter, give a disposal in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

The contempt petition is closed with the above observations.
