Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her family for their life and limbs at their place.

O R D E R
This petition has been filed seeking police protection to the petitioner and her family members, in order to safeguard their life and limbs at their place of residence.
2. Heard both sides and perused the material available on record.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there is civil suit pending between the petitioner and the counter parties, who are allegedly attempting to grab the ancestral property of the petitioner. The said civil suit is pending in O.S. No. 186 of 2024 before the Additional District Judge, Salem, concerning a partition matter. Now, the petitioner apprehends a threat at the hands of the counter parties. Therefore, the petitioner has filed a complaint seeking police protection for herself and her family members.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that, on receipt of the complaint lodged by the counter parties, a CSR No. 315 of 2025 has been registered and the matter is for enquiry.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is hereby directed to conduct an enquiry into the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the counter parties, if any, and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
