Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the 1st respondent herein in G.O.(Rt). ORDER

(made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner, who is a lawyer, complains of the Search Committee set up for recommending nominees for the post of ViceChancellor of the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University in Chennai.

2. The petitioner has some grievance against one of the persons on the committee. The petitioner refers to the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission in matters pertaining to the selection of a Vice-Chancellor.

3. Nothing in the guidelines or the rules framed by UGC for such purpose appear to have been breached and the petitioner's angst appears to be against a particular person being nominated on the Search Committee. Since the credentials of all the three nominees on the Search Committee appear to be impressive, the composition of the Search Committee does not warrant any interference. W.P.No.7481 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.8002 and 8003 of 2021 are closed.
