Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a WRIT OF MANDAMUS to direct the 3rd to 5th respondents to conduct the interview process for the appointment of teaching and non-teaching staffs in accordance with law and in a transparent manner. ORDER

The petitioner is one of the applicants who applied for the post of Library Assistant in the fifth respondent college which is affiliated to the fourth respondent University in response to an advertisement given in the newspaper on 17.02.2021. The previous batch of applicants who were interviewed in the year 2013 had undergone a detailed selection process before a selection committee which was formed to assess the capability of the candidates. In the present appointment, none of the above protocols have been followed. Hence the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 3 to 5 to conduct interview process for the appointment for teaching 2/4

and non-teaching staffs in accordance with law and in transparent manner.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the appointment process has been cancelled, therefore, the relief sought in this petition has become infructuous.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
