Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the application made under Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Intercaste Marriage Assistance Scheme dated 05.03.2016 within a time frame as stipulated by this Court. Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 05.03.2016, wherein and whereby he sought for financial assistance for his marriage under Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Intercaste Marriage Assistance Scheme.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that his request was not considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
