This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the 3rd respondent herein to appoint the petitioner herein as Conservancy Staff in the Melakaramanur Panchayat, Pennalurpettai post, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District on her application dated 25.10.2013.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she married one Babu in the year 2006 and that the said Babu abandoned here in the year 2007. It is the further case of the petitioner that she is assessed 98% deaf and is a physically challenged person without any employment. It is further the case of the petitioner that she is a member of the Anandam Handicapped Self Help Group, residing in Kasireddypettai Pennalur Pettai Post, Melakaramanur Village Panchayat. Whileso, the petitioner came to know that the Government of Tamil Nadu issued a G.O.Ms.No.129 dated 14.9.2013 granting approval for appointment of conservancy staff in the panchayat. By considering the population of the respective Panchayat in Tamil Nadu, the State Government has issued another G.O.Ms.No. 130 dated 14.9.2013 and also sanctioned a consolidated pay of Rs.

2000/- per month and DA for Rs.40 for the conservancy staff. As per the said Government Orders, the appointments should be made between the age group of 18 and 35 years and priority to be given to destitute widows and physically challenged persons and the members from the self help groups. Immediately on coming to know of the said G.O. the petitioner made a representation on 25.10.2013 for appointment as conservancy staff enclosing with all eligible records. Since the representation filed by the petitioner did not result in any order being passed, the present writ petition has been filed.
