ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 19.10.2022 followed by reminders repeatedly and last of such being on 03.11.2023 seeking promotion as Senior Manager (Labour) as per Rules in the vacancy caused on merits.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was selected and appointed as Manager (Labour) of the respondent Department on 27.02.2016. She is qualified with Bachelor of Law, MBA and also M.L., (Labour and Administrative Law). The predecessor in the same post who had been Manager (Labour) in the year 2005 was further promoted as Senior Manager (Labour). Subsequently, he had retired from service in the year 2014. From the year 2014, the post of Senior Manager (Labour) is lying vacant without any regular incumbent being appointed to the said post. Though the petitioner possess required qualification for the post of Senior Manager, the request made by the petitioner was not considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation and it is pending on the file of the respondents.
4. Considering the above, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking promotion to the post of Senior Manager (Labour) and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
