ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Zakir Hussain, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents and with the consent of parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. In paragraph No.7 of the counter filed by the second respondent it has been stated that a reply was sent to the petitioner's representation, by communication dated 25.4.2016, explaining the steps taken by the Water Resources Department for commencing the quarrying operation in Navalock Village, Walaja Taluk and all possible steps are being taken by the Water Resources Department by commencing the sand quarrying operation early without any delay.

3. In the light of the categorical stand taken by the second respondent, the petitioner need not have any apprehension. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

That apart, the petitioner's representation also has been considered and he has been given a reply dated 25.4.2016.

4. In view of the above stand taken by the second respondent in the counter affidavit, the second respondent is directed to proceed further in the matter to finalise all issues, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
