O R D E R

This writ petition is filed to quash the order dated 20.10.2021 passed by the 1st respondent Executive Officer, Naravarikuppam Town Panchayat and further direct the 1st respondent to effect mutation in property Tax register in the name of the petitioner pertaining to the property bearing Door.No.253, GNT Road, Red Hills, Chennai 600 052.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petitioner is willing to submit fresh representation to the first respondent for mutation in the property tax register in the name of the petitioner.

The learned special government pleader appearing for the first respondent submitted that if the petitioner submits his representation enclosing all the documents, the same will be considered by the first respondent after conducting detailed enquiry on merits and in accordance with law, within the stipulated period of time.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned special government pleader for the first respondent and the counsel for the second respondent and perused the available materials on record. 2/4

The petitioner is directed to give fresh representation to the first respondent enclosing all the requisite documents, along with the copy of this order, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application / representation from the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to conduct a detailed enquiry after giving due notice to the petitioner and to the second respondent and the opportunity of personal hearing and to consider the documents filed by both parties and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks thereon. The petitioner and the second respondent are directed to cooperate with the enquiry, without causing any delay, since the enquiry has to be completed within a period of eight weeks as stipulated by this Court.

6. With the above observations and direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
