Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, to call for the records relating to the order dated 10.9.2014 made in Order No.1198/2014 issued by the second respondent and quash the same and produce the detenu, Shanmugapandi, S/o.Arasappan, aged 38 years, now detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu, Shanmuga Pandi S/o.Arasappan, aged about 38 years, has come forward with this Petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 10.09.2014 against her husband branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 10.09.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.5454, dated 27.10.2014 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
