Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.03.2014 and subsequent representation dated 03.10.2014 within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. Petitioner claims to be a resident of Mahalakshmi Nagar, 8th Cross Street, Adambakkam, Chennai. He has approached the first respondent in the form of representations dated 06.03.2014 and 03.10.2014 to use the open space reservation in Mahalakshmi Nagar layout, Adambakkam, which falls under New Division No.177 (Old Division No.153-A), New Zone - XIII (Old Zone - X) earmarked for parks measuring about 6400 sq.ft. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that in spite of submitting representation to the first respondent as well as to the Mayor of Chennai City, no response is forthcoming and hence, he came forward with this writ petition.

Heard the submissions made by Mr.T.Ranganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned standing counsel, who accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2, Mr.D.Venkadachalam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for third respondent and Mr.Bala Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for respondents 4 and 5.
4. This Court, without going into the merits of the case projected by the petitioner in this writ petition, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondents 1 and 2 by enclosing a copy of the earlier representations dated 06.03.2014 and 03.10.2014, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the said representation in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
