Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.176, Finance (CMPC) Department dated 30.04.2009 and direct the respondents to grant of 5% of basic pay as personal pay to the petitioner from 01.08.1992 with all consequential benefits.

For Petitioners : Ms.E.Ranganayaki in both W.Ps For Respondents : Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari in both W.Ps Additional Government Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R Since the issue raised in both the Writ Petitions are one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for both sides, both the Writ Petitions have been heard together and are disposed of by this common order.

The petitioners in order to extend the benefit conferred under G.O.Ms.No.176, Finance (CMPC) Department dated 30.04.2009, under which, 5% of basic pay as personal pay has been granted with effect from 01.08.1992 to the petitioners also who was working as Steno Typist, have filed these Writ Petitions.

3. When the Writ Petitions are taken up for hearing today, Ms.E.Ranganayaki, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, on instructions, would submit that, during the pendency of the Writ Petitions, Government has come forward to issue a Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.143, Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 03.06.2014, under which, the said benefit conferred under G.O.Ms.No.176, Finance (CMPC) Department dated 30.04.2009 has also been extended to the category of the petitioners, i.e., Steno Typist and by virtue of the same, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petitions has been met. Hence, recording the development, these Writ Petitions can be disposed of, she contended.

4. Heard Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents who has also reiterated the same and stated that, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petitions has been met.

5. In view of the aforesaid development, by recording the same, since no further order is required to be passed in the Writ Petitions, this Court is inclined to dispose of the Writ Petitions by recording aforesaid. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
