Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide all safety measures and precautions for conducting the "Arulmigu Vengai Nachiamman Thirukoil" Summer festival for three days in May 2015 at Jayamkondan Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to change the Investigating Agency to inquire the F.I.R.No.236 of 2014 dated 31.05.2014 on the file of the Gingee Police Station, Villupuram District by following the due process of law. For Petitioner :

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner submitted representations dated 05.01.2015 and 15.04.2015 to the respondents stating among other things that while conducting festival in Arulmigu Vengai Nachiamman Thirukoil and another temple of Lord Murugan, temple car was drawn and incidentally few persons were electrocuted including his younger brother, who died and in this year also the temple festival is once again sought to be conducted and hence prayed for appropriate precautionary measures so that untoward incidents should not happen and since he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Vijay Anand, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Digvijayapandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representations dated 05.01.2015 and 15.04.2015, directs the petitioner to submit one more representation to the third respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the third respondent, on receipt of the same, shall look into the issue by putting on notice the petitioner and the persons concerned and take appropriate safety measures in consultation with the fourth respondent and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of three weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner and the persons concerned.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
