O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for the following relief: To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to permit the petitioner's son viz. Uma Iyappan, to participate in the counseling conducted by the respondent on 07.08.2017, 08.08.2017, 09.08.2017, 10.08.2017, 11.08.2017 or on any other subsequent date fixed by the respondent.

2. Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent and by consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not called upon to take part in the counselling conducted by the respondent so far.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent, based on instruction, submitted that the respondent has fixed 11.08.2017 as the date for considering the case of the persons like the petitioner and therefore, on that day, the petitioner's claim will be considered.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said statement may be recorded and the writ petition may be closed.

6. Accordingly, by recording the above statement made by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent University, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
