Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in respect of the impugned letter dated 09.01.2012 issued by the first respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to take into account the period of service rendered by the petitioner as a Helper from 01.05.1984 till 10.02.1997 (i.e. prior to 11.02.1997) for the purpose of the seniority and grant further promotion and other consequential monetary benefits to the petitioner as on date.

This matter was earlier listed before this Court on 24.11.2023 and 06.12.2023. On both the occasions, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal". Even today, when the matter is listed under the caption "For Dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner either in the pre-lunch or post-lunch session. In such circumstances, this Court is left with no other alternative, but to dismiss the Writ Petition for non-prosecution.
2. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
