Order The petitioner has filed this petition to direct the Respondent herein to consider the Representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2026for retransferring the Electricity Service Connection .

2. The petitioner is running a Hollow Block manufacturing business at Kadapakam and the electricity service connection was granted in his name with the consent of his father. However recently on verification through online, the petitioner was shocked to note that the electricity service connection has been transferred in the name of his father Kuppusamy, whose whereabouts was not known from 31.05.2022. Immediately, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 02.01.2026 to the respondent to re-transfer the electricity service connection in his name. Since the representation has not been considered by the respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
