The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to prevent the third respondent from carrying on any quarrying activities at S.F.No.263/2, Sengadu, Rakkiyaapalayam Village, Uthukuli Taluk, Tiruppur District, by considering his representation dated 05.01.2015.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the licence granted to the third respondent for a period of five years i.e., from 05.07.2013 to 04.07.2018, got expired, which was not subsequently renewed and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

3. Recording the submission so made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
