The prayer sought by the applicant in the present application is to pass an order granting extension of timeline to the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal which is adjudicating the disputes between the parties herein by a minimum period of 6 months, in the interest of justice and equity.

2. Mr.Vaibhav, learned counsel for the applicant submitted that in this case, the mandate of the arbitration has expired on 07.02.2023 but the arbitral proceedings is not yet completed. Hence, the learned counsel prayed this Court to extend the time for completion of arbitral proceedings, for a period of six months.

3. Mr.R.Siddharth, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that he has no serious objection to this application being allowed.

4. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court extends the time for completion of arbitral proceedings, for a further period of four months. The learned Arbitrator is directed to complete the arbitration proceedings, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
