ORDER

Seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to register a case on the basis of the complaint dated 26.05.2016 and to investigate the matter in accordance with law, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint lodged by one Jayarakini, the respondent have registered a case in Crime No.364 of 2016 on 14.05.2016 for offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Woman Harassment Act and Section 3 of the TNPPDL Act against the petitioner and 13 others. While so, the petitioner has lodged the present complaint dated 26.05.2016, as a counter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

blast. He further submitted that the police have not received the complaint dated 26.05.2016 and the same has been sent by post to the 2nd respondent.

3.In such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the respondent police along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 26.05.2016. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
