O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to pass final orders in the enquiry under Section 23 of Puducherry Settlement Act, pending in No.520/DOS/St-1/E-5/2017, for correction in settlement register within a time frame.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the proceedings has been pending with the third respondent from the year 2017 and now the enquiry has been almost completed but so far no orders have been passed. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the enquiry is almost over and the third respondent will pass suitable orders on merit.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion, this Court directs the third respondent to proceed with the enquiry and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
