Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Declaration, declaring the action of the first respondent thereby refused to consider the certificates of the year 2012 to 2015 i.e., i) VIII Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championship Form II (Silver) for the academic year 2012-13 (160 points) ii) VII Tamil Nadu State Level Soft Tennis Championship for the

academic year 2013-14 - Silver (80 points) iii) II World Junior Soft Tennis Championship at International Level (150 points) - participation, to include the points for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Guindy, Chennai, for the academic year 2016 to 2017 under Sports Quota as illegal and consequently direct the 1st respondent to include the points of the sports certificates of the year 2012 to 2015, i.e., i) VIII Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championship Form II (Silver) for the academic year 2012-13 (160 points) ii) VII Tamil Nadu State Level Soft Tennis Championship for the academic year 2013-14 - Silver (80 points) iii) II World Junior Soft Tennis Championship at International Level (150 points) - participation, for the Tamil Nadu Engineering admissions for the academic year 2016-17 under the Sports Quota as per the Annexure-II, issued by the first respondent herein.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Facts leading to the filing of this writ petition have been narrated in detail in the earlier orders dated 22.06.2016 and 27.06.2016 and hence, it is unnecessary to re-state the facts once again.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the additional affidavit of the father of the petitioner and would submit that in pursuant to the interim order passed by this Court, the petitioner had participated in the counselling under Sports Quota and allotted seat in Kumaraguru College of Engineering, Coimbatore in Computer Science and since there is no specific direction to declare the results, the petitioner was not permitted to join the said college and prays for appropriate orders.

Heard the submissions of Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent who would submit that the petitioner has been selected under Sports Quota and got allotment in Kumaraguru College of Engineering, Coimbatore and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

5. In the light of the above facts and circumstances, this Court directs the first respondent to give allotment order to the petitioner so as to enable him to join in Kumaraguru College of Engineering, Coimbatore under Sports Quota and pursue his academic career.

6. At this juncture, Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent has produced the allotment order in respect of the petitioner available in the sealed cover submitted by the first respondent before this Court and therefore, he is directed to hand over the same to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Provisional Allotment Order in Ref.No.699/EA3/2016 dated 01.07.2016 is handed over to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner so as to enable him to hand over the same to the petitioner.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
