ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) It appears that the petitioner is aggrieved by his inability to compete for removal of Karuvelam trees. It cannot be said that the writ petition is in public interest. The writ petitioner has a private interest.

2. In this context, it would perhaps not be out of context to record that there are several proceedings in public interest pending in this Court relating to removal of Karuvelam trees and there were also orders of this Court (Madurai Bench of Madras High Court) directing removal of Karuvelam trees within the time stipulated by the Court. Some orders directing removal are still subsisting. It would not be appropriate for this Court to pass any order that might stall or even delay the removal.

3. The writ petition is, thus, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.22071 of 2017 is closed. s/d- Assistant Registrar(CO) True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar bbr To:
