ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.Ramesh, J.) The petitioner herein seeks to implead the Ministry of Home Affairs in the present petition. However Rule 531 of the Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 2024, impose only the Ministry of External Affairs to be nodal ministry for extending https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis such communication with the parent national.

2.Hence, this Court, in exercise of its powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India hereby suo-motu impleads the Ministry of External Affairs, as a party respondent instead of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Accordingly, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition stands allowed. 3.Mr.B.Rabu Manohar, learned Senior Panel Counsel, takes notice for the impleaded respondent and seeks time to file counter. 4.Post the matter on 25.03.2025.
