Respondents Prayer: Original Petition filed under Section 3, 7 to 10 and 29 of Guardians and Wards Act VIII of 1890 r/w Clause 17 of the letters patent read with Order XXI, Rule 2,3 and 10A of Rules of the High Court, Madras, Original Side 1956, praying that the petitioner may be appointed as the Guardian of the person and property of the Minor Master D.Pownraj born on 08.10.1999, to permit the petitioner to receive the amounts from the LIC policies described in Item Nos.1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of the schedule and utilize the same for the repairs and maintenance of the immovable property described in Item No.6 of the schedule and to deposit the remaining amount in any nationalized bank for the maintenance and welfare of the minor and to permit the petitioner to administer the immovable property described in Item No.6 of the schedule and also to receive the monthly rents from the same for the benefit of the minor.

This application has been filed seeking to appoint the petitioner as guardian of Minor D.Pownraj, who was born on 08.10.1999. Even during the pendency of this application, it is seen that the Minor has now attained majority and thus, this application is infructuous. 2.Hence this Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
