ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for the following prayer:- "to direct the respondent to receive the Petitioner's application to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in pursuance of their notification dated 15.02.2020 in Notification No.4/2020 under the Multiple Disability Category and consider the same under the disability category.." 1/3

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent issued a notification dated 15.02.2020 in Notification No.4/2020 inviting the application for Direct Recruitment for the post of Assistant Engineer- (Electrical), Assistant Engineer- (Mechanical) and Assistant Engineer- (Civil).

In the Notification, the vacancies have been distributed under various categories. So far as the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is concerned, vacancies are available on the multiple disability category.

3. The petitioner suffers from multiple disability and therefore she was entitled to apply under the said category. As per the Notification dated 15.02.2020, application has to be made through online mode upto 16.03.2020. According to the petitioner, she was not able to upload the application in view of the fact that there is no particular format for persons suffering from multiple disability. Therefore, the website was not accepting the application forwarded by the petitioner. Although there is a provision for selecting the candidates suffering from multiple disability, in view of the absence of proper portal for applying through online, the petitioner could not upload her application. Therefore, she is before this Court with this Writ Petition.

4.On notice Mr.Karthik Rajan, learned standing counsel entered appearance on behalf of the respondents and would submit that the grievance of the petitioner as projected in the Writ Petition have been addressed and informs this Court that the petitioner can apply under the differently-abled person (DAP) category through online and thereafter submit a representation along with copies of documents, supporting her claim for multiple disability status.

5. In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit her application to the respondents as indicated above today itself i.e, on 13.03.2020. On such application being received by the respondents her candidature shall be considered on the basis of claim, if it is supported by required documents. No costs.
