Crl.M.P.No.3950 of 2025 in Crl.A.Sr.No. 12773 of 2025 P.VELMURUGAN, J This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed to condone the delay of 657 days in filing the above Criminal Appeal against the order of acquittal in C.C.No.666 of 2020 dated 09.05.2023 on the file of the III Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai -1.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent/State and perused the materials available on record.

3. Despite service of notice on the respondents 2 and 3, there is no appearance either in person or through counsel.

4. Though the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit are not satisfactory, in order to give an opportunity to the petitioner to challenge the impunged judgment of acquittal, delay is condoned. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
