Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 to promote and appoint the petitioner as Secretary to the Controller of Government Examinations in 2008-2009 promotion list, placing him above H.Chitrammal and V.Mari, as per the directions given in para 14 of the order dated 10.08.2010 passed in W.P.No.16864 of 2009 of this Hon'ble Court and to pay the petitioner the salary admissible for the post together with arrears from 14.08.2009 when 2008/2009 promotion list was implemented, with other benefits available to that post.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.
