O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the second and third respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for selection to the post of Special Teacher-Sewing in the light of Tamil Medium Study Certificate already produced by her.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she has completed the Diploma course in Costume Design and Dress Making apart from Technical Teacher's Training and had also enrolled with District Employment Exchange, Coimbatore. The petitioner has applied for the post of Sewing Teacher under Tamil Medium Quota after the Notification dated 26.07.2017 was issued by the second respondent. An additional weightage of 5 marks was given to the candidates based upon the employment exchange seniority. The petitioner has secured 53 marks in the written examination with weightage of 5 marks under SCGT category and was called for certificate verification. Thereafter, when the provisional selection list of the selected candidates was issued, the petitioner's name does not find place. Challenging the said notification, writ petitions in W.P.Nos.

28548 of 2018 etc. batch were filed before this Court and the same were allowed directing the respondents to revise the provisional list and inform that all Tamil Medium category eligible candidates be selected. Though some of the candidates, who have secured the same marks as that of the petitioner and comes under SCGT category were called for by the respondents on 09.09.2019, the petitioner was not included in the said list. The petitioner also sent representation on 20.11.2019 to include her name in the Revised Selection List but yet to get reply from the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as the petitioner's representation is already pending with the authority concerned, this Court directs the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.11.2019, if not already considered, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and others, if any, who are likely to be affected, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
