This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide necessary police protection to petitioner's life and property by considering the petitioner's complaints dated 02.01.2024 and 24.02.2024.
2. Heard Mr.G.V.Sridharan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner was enquired in CSR No.2 of 2024 and it was closed on 02.03.2024. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that this complaint was closed on the ground that the compound wall, which was demolished, was thereafter reconstructed and it was restored.
4. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the compound wall was not restored and a pathway has now been formed unauthorisedly. The above dispute cannot be gone into in a writ petition. It is left open to the 2/4
petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. The police cannot now decide the rights of the parties beyond what has already been done in this case whereby the compound wall was reconstructed.
