This petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to register the complaint of the petitioner MISC-289 dated 21/11/2014, and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Learned Public Prosecutor represents that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.141 of 2015 for an offence under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1959 has been registered by the Police.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, apart from above the provisions, there are other provisions of law which would also be taken into consideration. He relied upon the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.No.30233/2011 etc. batch dated 09.01.2014, wherein this Court in paragraph 30(a) has stated the various legal provisions which would stand attracted, if a digital banner is unauthorisedly erected. Therefore, the Police may look into this and file an alteration report wherever required. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
