ORDER

This petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the FIR in Cr.No.478 of 2011 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.On the complaint given by Shobika Rani, Sub Inspector of Police, the respondent police registered a case in Cr.No.478 of 2011 on 16.06.2011 u/s 110 Cr.P.C., challenging which, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. This FIR has been registered as early as 2011 and now we are in 2016. Hence, no purpose will be served in continuing further proceedings in Cr.No.478 of 2011.

In the result, this petition is allowed and the FIR in Cr.No.478 of 2011 is quashed. The quashment of this FIR will not preclude the police from taking appropriate action against the petitioner in the near future and fresh proceedings can be initiated against him in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
