ORDER
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.01.2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 309(4), 311, 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.36 of 2026, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that this petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant at knife point and threatened him and committed theft of defacto complainant's two wheeler. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 29.01.2026 and ready to co-operate with the investigation and pray to grant bail.
4. The learned Government Advocate reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are 5 previous cases pending against the petitioner which are similar in nature. Hence he opposed to grant bail.
5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and the previous antecedents of the petitioner, if the petitioner is released on bail, he will indulge in similar type of offence . Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 25.02.2026 smn 2/4
