Mr.J.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 07.02.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for issuance of Death Certificate for his deceased mother viz., Sulochanaammal.

3. It is stated that the petitioner's mother Sulochanammal died in the year 1969. It is further stated that inadvertently, the petitioner did not register the death of his mother. It is further stated that in order to get the certified copy of the Will, which was executed by the petitioner's grandmother in favour of the petitioner's mother, the petitioner approached the concerned Registrar Office and the Registration Authority insisted the petitioner to produce the Death Certificate of his mother viz., Sulochanaammal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 07.02.2018, requesting the respondents to issue Death Certificate of his deceased mother. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondents so far.

4. Heard both sides.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 07.02.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
