Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 4th respondent to issue patta to the petitioner, with regard to the property situated at Old.No.33A, New No.33B in S.No.368/1 for an extent of 1,200 sq.ft., at Konnur Village, Ayanavaram Taluk, Villivakkam, Chennai - 600 049. ORDER
The petitioner has approached the 4th respondent with his representation dated as early as 09.09.1999, seeking issuance of patta as concerning her property having an extent of 1,200 sq.f.t in Old.No.33A, New No.33B in S.No.368/1 at Konnur Village, Ayanavaram Taluk, Villivakkam, Chennai, and thereafter, a fresh application too was filed on 16.04.2013, seeking same relief. Since no response from the respondent concerned till date, hence this petition.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.M.Manigopi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents 1 to 4, and made a statement on instruction that the enquiry for the purpose is scheduled to take place at 11.00 a.m, on 28.05.2021 in the office of the Tahsildar, Ayyanavaram Taluk / fourth respondent herein. The said statement is recorded.
3. In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given except that the Tahsildar, Ayyanavaram Taluk, is directed to hold an enquiry after issuing notices to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, and after providing the parties a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the said representation through a speaking order within a period of eight (8) weeks ( after the conclusion of the General Election2021 of the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly ) from 28.05.2021.
