This petition has been filed seeking to declare that the proceedings initiated by the second respondent in his Rc.No.1203/79-D dated 28.08.1981 is abated in view of Section 4 of the Repeal Act, since the physical possession of the Land comprised in Plot No.51, Ram Nagar South Extension Layout, measuring 4800 square feet comprised in Survey No.29 of Pallikaranai Village, then Tambaram Taluk, now Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. When the matter was listed on 10.08.2021, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, the matter was ordered to be listed on 12.08.2021 under the caption "for dismissal". Even today i.e. 12.08.2021, no one appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No order as to costs.
