ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.12.2025 and further seeks to direct them not to provide an electricity service connection to the 4th respondent or any other person, for the property located at Door No.3/156, 8th Street, Periyar Nagar, Kaaranaipuducheri Village, Chengalpet District, Comprised in Survey No.398/A.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner purchased the subject property from the fourth respondent via a sale deed dated 26.12.2016 and subsequently transferred the electricity connection and revenue records into his name. However, the fourth respondent has submitted an application for a new electricity connection for the same property to the third respondent. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 01.12.2025, requesting that no electricity connection be granted to the fourth respondent. The said representation was kept pending without passing any orders. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the said

representation dated 01.12.2025, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's application will be considered and an appropriate order will be passed on merits.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.12.2025, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
