The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the application dated 12.05.2013
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner belong to an agricultural family and holding large extents of
agricultural lands in patta no.1482 and patta no.1475, which were inherited from his forefather and he is in possession and enjoyment of lands comprised in S.F.Nos.176/8B, measuring an extent of 15.50 ares and patta no.1475, issued by the Deputy Tahsildar. However, his grrandfather's name has been wrongly printed as Mr.Nacchu Padayatchi, instead of Mr.Solaimuthu Padayatchi. Subsequent to the death of his father, the petitioner had submitted an application dated 12.05.2013 for transfer of Patta from his father's name to the petitioner's name, however, till date there has been no response. Hence this petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2013 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader has no objection for said order being passed.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2013 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
