Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to survey the land comprising in Survey No.12/2 measuring Acre 0.40 cents, Survey No.18 measuring Acres 2.52 cents and Survey No.21/3 measuring Acre 0.33 cents altogether Acre 3.25 cents,S.No.95/1 measuring 0.26 cents, Survey No.96/1B measuring Acre 0.07 cents in document NO.744/1992 dated 18.05.1992 on the fiile of the Arani Sub-Registrar office, situated at Seeyancheri Village, Uttukkottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District and issue sub division of patta based on the application dated 16.02.2021. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/Tahsildar to survey the land.

2. According to the petitioner, he has purchased the property in Survey Nos.12/2, 18, 21/3, 95/1, 96/1B by means of a registered sale deed. Subsequently, he has filed an application, before the respondent/Tahsildar seeking for subdivision of the property , as early as on 16.02.2021. But, no order has been passed so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 4.

Considering the fact that the petitioner's application is pending with the respondent/Tahsildar, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.02.2021 and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as the other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
