ORDER

Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 09.02.2017 against the order of the District Elementary Educational Officer, Thirunelveli dated 13.01.2017 within a stipulated time.

2.The petitioner, having joined the service as Elementary School Teacher on 25.10.1998, was promoted to the post of Middle School Head Master. However, due to certain alleged irregularities, he was placed under suspension on 01.07.2016. Finally, he was imposed with a punishment of stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect. As against the order of the District Elementary Educational Officer, Thirunelveli dated 13.01.2017, he has preferred an appeal dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

09.02.2017 before the respondent. Till date no orders have been passed in spite of repeated reminders. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court by way of the present writ petition. 3.Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

4.Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the Appeal dated 09.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
