By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to issue Natham house site patta in his favour in respect of the land bearing Survey No.325/3 (old natham survey No.141/1) to an extent of 1382 sq.ft. at Aavadathur Village, Mettur Taluk, by considering his representation dated 27.02.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's parents had purchased a house property bearing Old Natham Survey No.144/1, to an extent of 1382 sq.ft., situated at Avadathur Village, Salem District. After the demise of the petitioner's father on 11.10.2009, the petitioner has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the property for more than 20 years. However, he has not been granted with patta to the said property despite his representation dated 27.02.2018 for the same.

3. Mr.D.Surya Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, by accepting notice for the respondents, sought for four weeks time to dispose of the pending representation dated 27.02.2018 of the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, considering the narrow prayer made by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 27.02.2018 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
