JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Under assail is the order dated 24.09.2024 passed in W.P.No.3230 of 2023.
The appellant submitted an application seeking free electricity service connection for agricultural purposes. The Authority while scrutinising application found that the father of the appellant himself has given certain incorrect information for securing free electricity service connection. Admittedly, a partition was effected in the family on 19.04.2010. The said fact has been suppressed. Thus, the writ Court has rejected the writ petition by granting liberty to the appellant to file a fresh application along with the relevant documents and necessary particulars. Free electricity service connection for agricultural purposes are to be granted scrupulously following the terms and conditions stipulated under the scheme. The facts if found incorrect or false, the Authorities are empowered to reject the application. In the present case, the information provided are found to be false and the Authorities formed an opinion that the original applicant has no right over the property.
That being so, this Court do not find any infirmity in respect of the writ order impugned and consequently, the Writ Appeal stands dismissed. No costs.
