O R D E R

The application submitted by the writ petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate ground was initially rejected in proceedings dated 19.11.2015 on the ground that the writ petitioner was a married woman. The Government issued G.O.Ms.No.78, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, dated 21.04.2017 extending the scheme of compassionate appointment to the married daughter also.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent has now brought to the notice of this Court that in view of the revised order, the case of the writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner is taken for re-consideration and accordingly, revised proposals are sent to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Chennai, vide office Ref.No.2735/2014/E1, dated 19.07.2018, for necessary action. Now the proposal sent by the authorities to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest is pending for consideration.

3. Under these circumstances, this Court is of an opinion that the process of reconsideration is to be concluded at the earliest, without causing any undue delay. Under these circumstances, the impugned order passed by the second respondent in proceedings dated Na.Ka.No.2735/14/P2 dated 19.11.2015 is quashed and the second respondent is directed to reconsider the proposal sent by the authority in reference No. 2735/2014/E1, dated 19.07.2018 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
